Explore Voi
in Kenya
Voi is the principal town of Taita-Taveta County in southeastern Kenya, sitting roughly midway between Nairobi and Mombasa. It is best known as the main gateway to Tsavo East National Park, one of the world's largest game reserves, famed for its red-dust elephants, Lugard Falls on the Galana River, and the Aruba Dam wetlands. As a transport and safari hub, Voi combines easy road and rail access with some of Kenya's most rewarding big-game viewing on its doorstep.
As the main gateway to Tsavo East National Park, Voi puts visitors within reach of the park's red-dusted elephant herds, Lugard Falls on the Galana River, and the man-made Aruba Dam, a reliable spot for game viewing in the dry season. The Ngutuni and Taita Hills sanctuaries nearby offer a quieter, less-visited alternative for game drives and hiking.
